Thread Very

I purchased an Hoya HD protection filter (58mm) with the understanding it had a front thread but I can't see a thread on it, if there is a thread it must be very small. I dont have anything I can test it with, can anyone else tell if they have one?
It will be threaded - just place it against the front of the lens and turn gently until the thread engages - don't force it or get it cross threaded - it should turn smoothly when screwing on.
It will have a thread both sides in case you also need to screw an additional filter on top of it. The 'external' thread is the one which attaches to your lens, the 'internal' thread will be used for additional filters (sorry that's the best way I can describe it).
