Dimensions Gold

I am planning to buy a new 60 gallon tank, also to buy 6 Fantail gold fish. The tank dimensions are 3 1/2 feet length x 2 feet height and 1 1/4 feet width. I have read in some forums that fantail fish tank should not be more than 1 1/2 feet height.
Mine is 2 feet height will this stress the fish and cause some problems? am really worried Pl help me.

Hi,
I have a tank of 1 ft high and my gold fishes can swim easily through out. the tank height does not create problems for the fishes. But it shud be not less than an feet. Also my fishes are big in size and I have put stones at the base.
