Knitting: How to protect my fingers to reduce drag or son?

I'm working on a project with a soft acrylic (Lion Brand) size 3-needles. The wire is dragging on my hands to make it slip diffiicult needles. I was pushed onto the tip of my needle work with thumb and forefinger of the opposite hand, but it became difficult to do. I tried to move the stitches on the needles or bamboo plastic. The two dragged worse than my metal needles. I need to realize this project quickly, so I do not have time to let my fingers recover after each time I work. So I either need a way to reduce the adhesion of the wire was on my hands or a way to protect my fingers that does not reduce my dexterity too. Suggestions?

I was the same problem and finding a thimble to help protect my fingers. At the craft store Michael, I found that I had ever seen. They were oval stickers on plastic leaves. They came in a package with several sheets of perhaps 10-20 per leaf. Each big enough to cover the tip of your finger. They worked great. I still have much left. Certainly look for them, they will help. I also agree with Stacie say that you are knitting. Tension is one of the hardest things to master in knitting. Good luck! Patricia
