I seem to vaguely remember reading, or hearing, about a romantic relationship between them.
I'm starting to think I may have imagined it, though, because I can't find any source to indicate that.
It may just have been the impression I got from seeing them perform together.
I know he is currently involved with Anjani Thomas, so maybe I've just combined the two women in my mind...
Cohen loves all the women he works with and they all seem to love him back. Whether they were ever physical lovers would only be conjecture, but they certainly have a history. She co-wrote "Everybody Knows" which was released in February 1988 and everything on "Ten New Songs" released in October 2001.

Cohen has stated several times how much he regrets having identified Joplin as the woman in "Chelsea Hotel #2", he's been less forthcoming since.
He had two children with Suzanne Elrod. (Not THE Suzanne.) He lived in the Greek isles with Marianne Ihlen. (THE Marianne.) We know he's been linked romantically with Rebecca De Mornay in the early 90s and now with Anjani Thomas.
I've wondered about Jennifer Warnes, who he wrote "Song of Bernadette" for.
