I'm working on an Afghan for my daughter for Christmas, and you want something a little different for his model. I worked in many Afghans granny square pattern, but I think maybe using a point of alternating shells and double crochet rows, with the colors green and white. I am undecided, however, and would love to hear from any Afghan interesting trends that have a catchy feel. I will consider all suggestions, and thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
The point is easily shell, dense (so it's hot), and is very dramatic in just two colors, when you switch the colors of each line. I is a green and cream, and on one side it looked green with a little cream, and the other was cream with a little green - very effective and easy.
