Help! I need to get cooking grease out of kitchen towels.?

My husband is part of an organization that does a yearly Fish Fry. As men will do they use anything to clean up. So we have all these kitchen towels that are really greasy, and once you clean them the smell is still in there. I use Tide and even Dawn dish soap, and used bleach. Any suggestions?

Try putting dish washing liquid on the towels, full strength. If that doesn't work, try a de-greaser like simple green. If the smell is more of a problem than visual stains, layer the towels in a trash bag, sprinkling liberal amounts of baking soda (like arm and hammer) on each towel. Tie the bag up and let it sit for a while- at least overnight, but a few days wouldn't hurt. Then launder the towels, adding 1/2 cup of baking soda to the washing machine along with your normal detergent
