Halloween Cross

I'm still in the closet, and though most people know there's weird stuff going on, nobody actually knows. If I were to cross-dress as a guy for Halloween, would that be over-stepping and too-weird? I don't know if I'm ready to come-out, so I don't want to go to far and cause questions I can't truthfully answer.
Ah, memories. The whole "Everyone else can do it and get away with it, but if *I* do it, people will really know what I'm feeling inside!" paranoia. That was me through my whole adolescence. Dress as a girl for Halloween? Never! What about for "cross-dressing day" at school? Never! Shave my legs for the swim team like everyone else? Never! Play a girl character in a role-playing game? Never! Sure, everyone else was doing that sort of stuff, but if *I* did it, people would know what I was *really* feeling. I'd have died if I did that and someone made a joke.
But the reality is: no, people won't think much of it, because others do it all the time.
