Garden Sampler

My husband and I went to Olive Garden last night. We ordered the sampler appetizer, 2 iced teas, salad and chicken alfredo. We didn't ask for anything special. We needed refills on our drinks once. Our check was $47 and some change. I tipped the server $10. She walked to the server station to ring us out. As she was doing that, I had to use the restroom, so I had to walk by the station. She had her back turned and was talking to another server. She said "That couple only tipped me 10 bucks for a 60 dollar check, what cheapskates!" Did the minimum appropriate tip amount go up? I would think that a $10 tip from a table of two, in the restaurant for less than an hour, with no special requests or anything, would be plenty. I was a waitress a couple years ago and was happy to get $5 from a table of two! What do you tip?
You know what LOL. I hit the 4 instead of the 5! Our bill was $57.
Seems like servers want a big tip for nothing these days. Used be be 10% for good/decent service. 20% when you are trying to impress someone or the service is really good. Now it's 20% or your a cheapskate.
Did you say anything to that?
