Cloth Variety

We did not found an effective way to cheaply take look at the snow covered ground. We considered simply using white sheets, but I wonder if anyone has better ideas. Other things we've considered include cotton balls, cotton wool, cloths, balloons, etc. But for various reasons have found some of those who are or may still be considered. Other suggestions?
