Afternoon Tea

I've been invited to afternoon tea at a really fancy hotel in Beverly Hills. This is my first time to attend such a thing. Fortunately, they don't have a dress code but I still don't want to seem out of place. Should I wear a jacket? Tie?
Okay you got a couple options:
Suitcoat/sportscoat; collar button down shirt; slacks; dress shoes; tie; belt
turtle neck/slacks/ dress shoes- just leave it
vest; collar shirt; slacks; shoes- tuck the shirt in, leave the vest out, put collar over vest, then take it from there.
Or if you think it might be business casual then just a polo with slacks and dress shoes + belt. It shouldnt be an issue with any of them. I would just go with the first, but i have worn a sweatervest with the shirt for a christmas party. It could be a normal vest so your pick. But you might want to know if its biz casual or not that way you dont over dress.
